Sustainable & Eco-Friendly

Outdoor wood boilers offer an environmentally responsible heating solution. Wood is a renewable resource and, when used as a primary fuel source, reduces the need for fossil fuels. Furthermore, wood is considered to be carbon-neutral because the carbon dioxide absorbed by a tree during its growth equals the amount released when wood is burned, thereby creating a net zero carbon footprint. In addition to this, the refractory fire brick lining that is used in our boilers aids in complete combustion which drastically reduces emissions.

Economical

An outdoor boiler is approximately the same price as a traditional HVAC system but comes with the additional advantage of lower heating bills. If you can harvest your own wood, or buy locally, you have the potential to lower your heating costs even further. Having an outdoor boiler also often results in a lower insurance bill compared to an indoor wood burning heat source. Wigwam Firewood will match your space and needs to the right boiler which means the lowest possible wood or biofuel costs to you.

Efficient

Our outdoor boilers provide long burn times of 12 hours or more, so your house remains warm until morning with no overnight loading. An insulated outer door and tight seals avoid air leaks and inside the water jacket there is a reverse-return heat exchanger. This exchanger keeps the exhaust gasses in the unit longer which means that more heat is taken in by the water jacket. This longer exhaust runs translates to higher efficiency. The refractory fire brick lining that surrounds the firepot aids in complete combustion which drastically reduces emissions and turns the smoke into usable heat.

User-Friendly

Our boilers are easy to load and operate and long burn times mean you only have to feed your boiler once or twice a day. The easy-to-read fluid level indicator can be seen across the yard and will not fade or discolour over time. We’re sure that anyone can learn how to operate one of our outdoor wood boilers, but if you ever need a hand, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to walk you through any questions you might have!

Reliable

Our boilers are robust and built to last. The heavy duty, heat-resistant locking gaskets, tight seals, reverse-return heat exchanger and refractory fire brick lining mean higher efficiency, ensure little to no corrosion and help secure the longevity of your boiler. The Johnson digital aquastat is run in tandem with the manual aquastat for fail-safe redundancy. You can rely on our outdoor wood boilers!

Low Maintenance

Ashes are taken out with the easy-to-remove galvanized ash pan. The multi pass chamber pulls particulates and smoke out during the exhausting process, which translates to less maintenance. The refractory fire brick lining prevents corrosion and degradation of the metal fire box and the exteriors of the boilers are finished with a high quality, durable automotive finish that will protect your boiler for years to come. All electronics, electronic motors and intake and output lines are housed in a lockable rear compartment with ample room for maintenance.
